In the southern most Extremadura, merging with Sierra Morena, is the South Countryside, a region of the province of Badajoz whose mixture of hábitats, predominantly pseudosteppe, treasures an interesting ornithological wealth thanks to which is a biological hallway of great importance, which allows different possibilities to watch the most representative bird species of Extremadura, from the steppes to species of riverbank and dehesa, in a small-scaletrip of the region.
